Love and Lava - Admired

Love and Lava - Admired

This was one of those days when you're not sure if you should go outside and try to make photographs. Cold, windy, gray and threatening rain. And did I say cold? But Laurie, like me, could see that there was some good light. So we went out on the lava flow at Entrada -- easily one of the most beautiful golf courses anywhere -- and took advantage of the good things that were going on.

UPDATE!

This image has been admired by David Beckstead, one of the leading wedding photographers in the United States. It can be viewed on his website Admired By Beckstead in the "bride and groom" section.

Beckstead says: "I love the natural look of the background! The clouds, the red mountain and volcanic rock add drama to this image. Her body positioning is nice and the veil around her head is different. I like different!"

It's a pretty cool recognition. Congratulations, Laurie!

Quotes

"Photography is the opposite of painting, where you start with a blank canvas and add things. Instead, you start with a complex world and you simplify it by bringing it down to simple geometric patterns, shapes, and textures." -- August Bradley
